I tried the above solution for my FB630u Canoscan on a Vista system. Putting the Twain_32 folder in Path variable was the solution for me. I had to use Windows 2000 drivers for it, but that's besides the point. Thank you Jeff! This fixed the issue with my canoscan 656u not working on Windows 2003.
